Guest Services

When did you start with Xiphium? July 2008

Education: The University of Kansas, Bachelors Degree in Journalism

Previous job(s): KCTV 5 - News Producer, KSNT 27 News - News Producer, Old Navy - Retail Sales Associate

Hometown/Places lived: Topeka, KS (hometown); Lawrence, KS; Lenexa, KS (current)

Why I decided to become a Xiphium guest service team member: I love helping and educating our guests about our products and services.

My favorite thing about my work: My favorite thing about what I do is celebrating little "victories" everyday, whether it's making a guest’s day better or making the team's day better. I also love giving our guests a finishing makeup touchup at the end of their service. It's always fun to try out a new lip gloss shade or any makeup color after receiving a new haircut or color. Ask me and I would love to help!
What makes me a great guest service team member: What makes me a great sales and service team member is that I am a self-starter. I strive to get little projects done daily to make the front desk run more efficiently.

Best professional moment: When guests have told me that I am good at my job. That always makes me feel great and motivates me to do even better!

What I want every client to know about me: I'm a new mom and have a son who was born in January 2014. If you don't see me around the salon as much, it is because I am home with him during the day and now work most nights and Saturdays part time.

Other hobbies and talents: I love doing yoga, reading, cooking/baking, taking walks, decorating my house that we moved into last summer, and as of recently I love taking my son to Baby Storytime at the local libraries.

What quote or mantra do you strive to live by? "Enjoy the little things in life... for one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things."-Robert Brault I also like "The beginning is always today."- Mary Shelley

Describe the worst hair phase you've been through. In 7th grade, I got a hideous perm because I wanted to add more volume to my fine hair. Even my bangs were permed! So ugly!!!
